Time to Rack up the Points #BestTravelHack
Last month, Ethan at The Points Guy hyped the Capital One Venture Card and how you get 10x points when you book with Hotels.com. Capital One 2% points for travel booking = 1,104
TOTAL POINTS WITH BONWI = 20,287 (37% back $202.29 combined equivalent)
Capital One / Hotels.com 10x Rewards = 5,530 ($55.20)
Ethan based the Capital One rewards off base rate assuming they're not rewarding inclusive of tax. Also, the rates were the same off these properties on hotels.com when they did the comparison.

Hotel: Sonesta Coconut Grove (4 star good location)
Base rate = $219 / $428 ($495 inclusive) + 15,355 BONWI points
Capital One 2% points for travel booking = 868
TOTAL POINTS WITH BONWI = 16,223 (37% back or $162.23 equivalent)
Capital One / Hotels.com 10x Rewards = 4,280 ($42.80)
RESULT:
